founded in italy between 1964 and 1965 thanks to the determination and efforts of Mario Bertoncini, the world's first composers collective, Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, sought to unhem the purposefulness of their respective instruments and the primacy of composition in order to open up a space for the emergence of free music and unintentional noise sounds.
