John CAGE
Cheap imitation
CRAMPS Records
CRSCD 117 CD digipack 1989

Reissue of an LP originally on the Cramps Nova Musicha imprint. The music is a "cheap imitation" of Erik Satie. Nice meandering piano music played by Cage himself. Registered at Center for Contemporary Music of Mills College in Oakland, California, Cheap Imitation is a piece for solo piano by John Cage, composed in 1969. It is an indeterminate piece created using the I Ching and based, rhythmically, on Socrate by Erik Satie; it consists almost exclusively of a single melodic line, with occasional doublings, as an “imitation” of original score

This is a mail order/distributor run solely by one person, and based in Milano, Italy. The large selection of CD and LPs covers a really wide array of artists and labels, in addition it is also possible to find rare, out-of-print and sometime impossible-to-find editions of sound art and artists' records and gallery editions. Pricing and shipping policy is friendly and customer-oriented: you won't find any strange additional fee or 1-dollar-more-for-each-CD type of thing.
