Stelvio Cipriani's legendary "Italian version" (it was cut from the US release) soundtrack for the 1972 Mario Bava film Gli Orrori Del Castello Di Norimberga (Baron Blood) contains jazzy elements and classic sounds combined with great audio effects obtained by "torturing" guitars, drums, and the wind. Dagored presents the first release of the complete original score, exclusively remastered. Double LP available on black vinyl (limited to 500 numbered copies).
"A horror soundtrack for the Mario Bava classic Baron Blood – but one that's done with some groovier touches than you might expect! Maestro Stelvio Cipriani handled the work for the score – and although he definitely brings in all the right dark edges for the narrative, he also sprinkles the tunes with some of his cooler styles of the period – similar to his music for action and erotic films of the time! There's plenty of dramatic moments, but we especially like the way they're offset by Stelvio's inherent sense of warmth and spacing – which keeps the whole thing from just becoming another familiar experiment in arch sounds. 2LP version features a few rare bonus tracks" Dustygroove
