In 2020 with my colleagues we’ve started EOLA - an Experimental Opera Laboratory where we use different machine learning algorithms and hours of my voice data to create a new experimental opera.
This fact made me think not only about future of music in general but particularly how the relationships between artist and instrument going to develop. In ancient times humans used to inspirit and divinify the unknown, as they were unaware of what they are dealing with. The situation with machine learning is of course different. But in my imaginary world I’ve decided to animate my partner as well, by making it my sterling co-author in our prepared improv act.
