*Limited edition of 350 copies in a vacuum packed metallic foil packaged with embossed lettering* Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti reconvene their wonderfully enigmatic Bellows project with a ghostly album for Entr'acte. 'Reelin'' is the third document of their hardware-honed endeavours, and much like their eponymous debut on Kning Disk and celebrated side for Planam, we're left with little background info other than their equipment list. Navigating between a CDJ/Sony Walkman/Revox A77/Memory Man, they create labyrinthine meta-pathways through quietly convective thickets of acousmatic sound; from tantalisingly spacious clouds of fuzzy electronics verging on Rhythm & Sound-like dub imprints to water-stained electronics reminding of BJ Nilsen & Stilluppsteypa's 'Space Finale' and more fractal, decaying bleeps nudged and frayed with a beautifully tactile intuition. The whole thing is just sublime, but there are a couple of outstanding tracks, practically worth the entry alone; like the ten minutes of scanning aquatic pulses and distant spectral apparitions of track 4, or the lushly discordant, stereo-splitting shapes of track 6 - sounding something like a more autistic cousin to tracks from Leyland Kirby's 'Intrigue & Stuff' series - but this really must be experienced as a whole for optimal, immersive effect. Highly recommended to fans of Rhythm & Sound, Spectrum Spools, BJ Nilsen or James Leyland Kirby.
