Trad, Gras Och Stenar

Trad, Gras Och Stenar

Anthology Recordings reissue material from the definitive lost Swedish prog rock band, Trad, Gras och Stenar. Six vinyl LPs of improvised/stoned jams from the golden-age. This set focuses on the band’s ferocious live performances, but also includes albums from 1971 and 72 at the peak of the bands counterculture freak-out. All albums are in deluxe gatefold jackets with printed inner sleeves containing liner notes by the band, and scores of images published here for the first time. Includes risograph reproductions of two rare original TGS flyers, and download code with extra unreleased material. Limited to 1,000 numbered deluxe silkscreened box sets. Their name translates to "trees, grass & stones." A rock group led by Bo Anders Persson (after his works with Pärson Sound, Harvester, International Harvester), this was their first of three albums, a definitely more "rockist" continuation of the post-minimalist experiments of the earlier groups, but still with that undefinable Swedish underground feeling. A true landmark and cornerstone in Swedish psychedelic music history and there's nothing like this bunch of progressive hippie Swedes reared on minimalism
