This product is out of stock.

BACK IN STOCK! based in Saarbruecken, Germany, Mathieu worked worldwide as an improvising drummer, notably with German group Stol (Kitty-Yo) and Butch Morris' large conduction ensemble Berlin Skyscraper. Since 1998 his work has focused on the digital processing of acoustic events, a process he describes as extracting sounds from homeopathic vibrations at their source. The results of these explorations have been nothing short of startling with incredibly focussed tracks which retain the essence of the works they sample while sounding nothing like them. frequencyLib is the culmination of this process. It includes 26 digital variations of some haunting tunes from the history of popmusic from 1928 to today, leaving the clichés of a fluctuating glitch fever or digital cold far behind itself.

This is a mail order/distributor run solely by one person, and based in Milano, Italy. The large selection of CD and LPs covers a really wide array of artists and labels, in addition it is also possible to find rare, out-of-print and sometime impossible-to-find editions of sound art and artists' records and gallery editions. Pricing and shipping policy is friendly and customer-oriented: you won't find any strange additional fee or 1-dollar-more-for-each-CD type of thing.
