Sunn O))) is an experimental drone metal band led by musicians Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson. Sunn O))) create brooding dense textures by layering droning feedback with sustained single notes. Their guitars are tuned to a drop A or drop B tuning. When performing the duo wear long hooded robes and use heavy smoke machines.
