Replica edition covering this wonderful 2LP boxed set, issued on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Experimental Music Studios of the University of Illinois School of Music. Features work by a largely otherwise undocumented array of midwest composers, including Antonio G. Barata, Paul Christian Koonce, Carla Scaletti, Michael Kosch, Brian E. Belét, Sever Tipei, & Nelson Mandrell alongside those by more well-known ones such as studio head Herbert Brün, Mary Ellen Childs, and recent Creel Pone "graduate" Scott A. Wyatt. This was issued "privately" by the studio & covers an extremely wide range of activity, from pointillist analogue blat to Electronically augmented chamber works, with pieces realized between 1976 & the set's issue in 1984. Included is a reproduction of the 8-page booklet included in the box, detailing the compositional methods of all involved.
