Originally released in 1970 on the Ohr label, 'Opal' is the debut album from Munich jazz-rock legends Embryo. Falling somewhere between the krautrock groove of Can and the jazz-rock experimentalism of Bitches Brew, Opal laid the foundation for the mind expanding world-rock-fusion that was soon to come from Christian Burchard & Co. This reissue contains “You Better Have Some Fun” taken from the same session, originally not included into the album.
