Milestone Reissue! CD Edition, deluxe digipack and Obi. Initially pressed in very few copies for TV production use only on Umiliani's LIUTO label. A monster rare album with Music by Alessandro Alessandroni and Oronzo De Filippi Produced by Piero Umiliani at the now legendary Sound Work Shop studio in Rome, January 1971. During the '70s, work days at Umiliani's Sound Workshop Studios were hectic; thousands of sessions were held in order to keep up with a very busy Italian movie industry: Hundreds…
Inchiesta
Seriously wicked and really hard to find in its original edition, this superb sound-library bears the mark of the great, eclectic maestro Alessandro Alessandroni. The songs on this LP were originally composed for the broadcast of eight episodes made by RAI Italian TV called "Open Window." Many mid-'70s jazz-funk/scat themes full of samples, breaks and funky tunes. Merged in this record you'll find heavy funk-drama tracks devoted to 1970s poliziottesco's grooves interfering with slow loung…
I Cantori Moderni
Commercially available for the first time, this 1970 library album by Alessandro Alessandroni is the only existing full-length recording of his extraordinary vocal group, I Cantori Moderni, an eight-to-sixteen person choir featuring Edda Dell'Orso, Giulia De Mutiis (Alessandroni's first wife), Gianna Spagnuolo, Augusto Giardino, and Franco Cosacchi, and highlighting, through twelve original themes by Alessandroni, the complex vocal harmonies of the legendary group that lent their voices to the a…
India
Scored for the Folco Quilici documentary, Alla Scoperta Dell’India, "India" is surely one of the most refined Italian Library soundtracks ever published. All in all, a sublime Eastern tinged, exotic jazz featuring Alessandro Alessandroni on Sitar, originally published in the late 60s (and realized in 1966) on the collectable Sermi label. Highest of recommendations!
