*Dubbed on reused ferro tapes* Reveries; an apartment and it's lonesome inhabitant. Field recordings and reamps through lousy computer speakers. The livelyhood and sounds of tape running around different objects, chatting radios and the fiddeling of a diverse array of small talkative machines. All recordings were made within the same weekend, being alone in my apartment. Edited, cut apart and put back together.

The sharp staccato of a cicada, stuck in a tropical stairwell, throwing its body against a fluorescent light – it keeps trying to force a solution despite it clearly not working. The submerged melodies of an 84 year old acetate echo the reflection in the play-of-light which inspired its name. A Benedictine monastery’s pipe organ in Ireland’s west sounds with and against those of a Cathedral organ pipes’ contrasting intonation at St Fin Barre’s in Ireland’s south. Voices laugh in backstreets disc…

*32 copies limited edition* When I was a teenager living in the desert, my brother and I and a couple close friends had a secret smoke spot behind some bushes in the sandy flats near the wash. The perfect spot because as long as no one saw us going in, once we were inside, the thick brush kept us hidden. We slowly made upgrades, like dragging a van bench seat we found or other makeshift furniture or decor, such as a “flooded” street sign. This kind of place is what I think of when I picture "The…

What if beating a drum would raise a thunderstorm, as if a sound could alter the very fabric of reality? In their latest album Days, the experimental electro-acoustic duo Kashaiof expand their sonic explorations, integrating extended techniques of modular synthesis, ultrasonic feedback, field recordings, and acoustic instrumentation.
In contrast to their previous releases Home (Chondritic Sound, LA, 2020) and MA (Under My Feet, London, 2022), where the voice was submerged in electrical responses…
The artist group Augenstern (Christiane Prehn and Wolfgang Meyer) have lived and worked on the ship Anuschka for many years. In July 2014 the MS Anuschka left Berlin in the direction of Paris before reaching their final destination in the south of France in November 2014. On the way, the crew examined numerous bridges, spanning rivers and canals. Using tentacles installed on board to scratch the bridges, the ship turned into a sensitive, perceiving and sounding laboratory interacting with the te…
A metal fence, about 6 metres high, in the background. A group of people sitting closely aligned on the upper edge, detained by the presence of the border police. A strip of bushy vegetation for sight protection in front of the fence, a bit farther aside some taller palm trees. An ascending hill behind the fence, dry grass, rock, soil. The well cared for, wavy green of a golf course in the front, two people dressed predominantly in white standing on the lawn, one of them is about to swing the gol…

The shadowy duo of Echardt & Kash bring a deep groove mentality to the floating world of New Age music. Plush ambience and tropical birdsong continue in the tradition of sound-as-vibrational-transport, but this is bass music aware of its place in a post-trip hop world. Whether the title is an earnest ode to the inner journey or something more satirical remains open to interpretation. The potent, hypnotic ether of these recordings, however, makes the answer immaterial.Covers are hand-marbled and …
Isabell Gustafsson-Ny joins Warm Winters Ltd. with Rosenhagtorn, a suite of short pieces for piano, violin and voice. Absorbing in its profound focus on listening, this collection is a striking exploration of these sound sources; their repetitions, harmonics and oscillations. Conceiving of the release as a house, a different song is playing in each room, Gustafsson-Ny was able to explore the rawness and fragility of each instrument with incredible freedom and sensibility. She describes the album…
