Awesome Entities
*2016 release, 2026 stock* Guitarist/ daxophone player Kazuhisa Utsubashi and modular-synth player Richard Scott — as the title says, an improvised duo that is an “astonishing presence”! Raw, intense improvisation, yet the beautiful tonal textures created by chance and the humorous sequences are uniquely theirs. The contrast between noisy, high-pressure sections and calm, tranquil passages is also well worth hearing.
Geometric Reason
On Geometric Reason, Sissy Spacek reroute their long‑running extremism into a jagged strain of musique concrète, splicing voice, electronics and acoustic shards into a volatile collage charged by fire‑displacement, Japanese connections and their enduring taste for rupture.
Electric Garden
On Electric Garden, Sissy Spacek and Smegma blur into a single, unstable organism, trading identities inside a live electro‑acoustic tangle where tape, junk percussion, turntables and guitar debris drift through The Pink House like sentient interference.

Understatements
*2026 stock* This is the first recording by the unique trio of Tetuzi Akiyama (guitar), Toshimaru Nakamura (no-input mixing board), and Masataka Fujikake (drums). This is a full album of six songs recorded at the now-defunct Asagaya Yellow Vision and is an isolated work in which the inner universe of the three members is clearly imprinted on the disc.
Honnomajika~Naharu × Otomo Yoshihide
This is the second album by the trio "Honnomajika Naharu", consisting of Lapis (guitar & vocals), Hiroshi Higo (bass & vocals), and Masataka Fujikake (drums). This is their first release in about a year since their last album (Honnomajika - Naharu X Keiji Haino: FDR-1052), and is a live album with Otomo Yoshihide (guitar & vocals) as a guest. It is another miraculous work, completely different in type from the previous album, as if the multiple layers of expression have been crystallized into on…
Nuó Xiǎng
On Nuó Xiǎng, Camilo Ángeles and Qiujiang Levi Lu forge an electroacoustic ritual: custom DSP, live processing, extended voice and augmented flute merge into abstract yet visceral soundscapes, echoing ancient Nuó ceremony while stepping beyond any fixed genre.
Los Mandatos del Aire
On Los Mandatos del Aire, Peruvian flautist Camilo Ángeles deconstructs his instrument into a bridge between worlds, channeling Amazonian cosmology and ayahuasca visions through extended techniques, microtonalities, analog processing and reverb‑chamber acoustics in dialogue with Musuk Nolte's photography.
Chant
Over the last couple of decades Magda Mayas has developed a rigorous and distinctive prepared piano practice, working inside the piano with great musicality. The music on Chant captures a dramatic expansion of the pianist’s vision. Reflecting her devotion to social and musical communities through recent stretches of political upheaval and the disruption of the pandemic, she’s found solace in harmony and repetition, and after a period of exploring such sounds with clavinet and Fender-Rhodes, she …
Jeux de mains
Jeux de mains, a striking new album from acclaimed double bassist Joëlle Léandre and inventive composer-performer Rémy Bélanger de Beauport, arrives as a vivid exploration of spontaneous musical conversation. Recorded with immediacy and an acute sense of shared risk, the record captures two master improvisers at the peak of their creative powers. Across the album’s immersive tracks, Léandre’s visceral arco, percussive pizzicato, and fearless extended techniques meet Rémy Bélanger de Beauport’s t…
In the no time
The group originally began as a duo formed by Paweł Doskocz and Vasco Trilla, who gave their first concert together in 2017. Since then their collaboration has continued to evolve. In 2018 they toured together and recorded tracks for an album released in 2019 on the Antena No Grata label. In 2023, Zofia Ilnicka joined the group, bringing her own musical language, which perfectly complemented the project's concept. The group relies on an in-depth knowledge of their instruments, which allows them …
Diffraction
*2026 stock* Diffraction is the amplified reflection, across a wider sonic territory, of what takes place within the making of DDK’s music. A composition written for the GGRIL, in which the three musician-composers weave their texture by juxtaposition, by overlay, in parallel, always within the musical material itself. But Diffraction truly comes to life only through close collaboration with the GGRIL performers, where each person’s character becomes raw material. A compositional process intimat…

In∞fi∞ni∞to
The new transmission from Turin's My Cat Is An Alien, Maurizio and Roberto Opalio's long-running cosmic project, issued in a hand-numbered limited edition of 99 copies on their own Opax Records imprint. Two long-form pieces built around what the Opalios describe as a genuine creative breakthrough: applying their established practice of spontaneous composition in reverse, working by subtraction once the "apogee of real-time creation" had been reached, in service of an idea of infinity passing thr…
Actual Earth Music - Volume 3 & 4
Earthball are an avant/noise/rock wrecking ball of a band from Nanaimo, Canada. Rooted in total improvisation, free expression, and a deeply psychedelic sensibility, EarthBall operate on pure instinct. They hurtle onwards in a combustion of spontaneous composition, shooting from the hip, as they fall out of the sky ablaze. The group encompass Isabel Ford (vocals, bass), John Brennan (drums, percussion), Jeremy Van Wyke (vocals, guitar, trumpet), Kellan Maclaughlin (guitar, talkbox), and Liam Mur…
A Fine Chance for Permanence
*100 copies limited edition* A Fine Chance for Permanence captures a pivotal moment in contemporary improvisation, where a new generation of musicians reshapes the language of spontaneous music in response to an increasingly fragmented, hyper-connected world. Drawing from decades of experimental traditions—from 1960s free music to the reductionist movements of the early 2000s—the album proposes a fluid, “both/and” aesthetic that resists fixed ideologies in favor of multiplicity, dialogue, and sh…
