Éclipse des Ocelles
An absolutely stunning debut by Roxane Métayer - reissued in a limited edition of 150 vinyl copies by Morc Records - 'Éclipse des Ocelles' is the perfect European counterpoint to Henry Flynt and Tony Conrad, and so much more. Combining field recordings and vocal interventions with thick modulating violin drones, percussive and textural playing, and subtle processing, it's emotive, stunningly beautiful, creatively brilliant, and not to be missed.
Il Ricordo Improvviso Dell'Assoluto Stupore
*200 copies limited edition. In process of stocking* Reissue of the one-sided vinyl Picture Disc originally available with the Fabio Orsi's same-title box set with book. The vinyl has an exclusive long track that is a sort of "summa" of Fabio Orsi musical world: like his early releases, "Il Ricordo Improvviso Dell'Assoluto Stupore" is a deep drone ambient track, with distant guitars and a nostalgic touch. Hypnotic and melodic at the same time...
The Room Above
The Room Above was recorded in the church of the Helvetic Circle in Genoa, in the 2020 lockdown. I played the church's organ in the present moment, with no score, over four consecutive days, possibly inspired by long sonic walks in the surrounding mountains and along the Ligurian coast. The intrinsic architectural sonic spatial identity of the building entered the recordings. The cumulation of sonic spaces - those initially present, those of field recordings, those of future concert venues, and …

Edgar Wappenhalter
** 2021 Stock. Edition of 150 ** Long-awaited return of Steve Marreyt, the grandmaster of psychedelic dronefolk-soundcollages. here he resurfaces with three long and impulsive tracks - mainly based on vocals and samples, but using the same direct and messy approach that made his earlier releases so unique. The entire A-side is taken up by an acapella lamentation for Herman Bisschop, the Dutch artist who passed away in the summer of 2018 and was a personal friend of Marreyt. The B-side thrives on…
Klein Eiland
Klein Eiland comes as a suprise: the past decade, the ROT-members have been playing less shows, and their record output had come to a halt. Not sure why: there has been the occasional gathering and recording session. (this one happened to be the last one feat. Floris Vanhoof as a band member) But: R.O.T. proves that they still manage to capture a specific time and place like no one else does. This session was recorded in a now demolished building in the south of Brussels, and is now replaced by …
