Don't Give Up / Tema Di Susie
'Tema di Susie' is one of the main themes from the soundtrack composed by Alessandro Alessandroni for the 1976 Italian noir Sangue di sbirro, known in English as Blood and Bullets, as well as Knell, Bloody Avenger (the Susie in the original title refers to the female love interest of the film's hero, who is on a mission to seek revenge for the gangland murder of his policeman father). At once sweet and sentimental, haunting and melancholic, 'Tema di Susie' stands out from the other tracks in the…
L'Altro Dio
We’ve rarely listened to anything funkier by Alessandro Alessandroni. Walkingthe line between disco and jazz-funk, our beloved Maestro penned the twoirresistibly groovy gems in this release slightly before his blaxploitation-inspiredsoundtrack to Sangue di sbirro, and there are indeed similarities here–the hornand rhythm sections, as well as pianist Enrico Pieranunzi’s jazz phrasing. Taken from the soundtrack to an obscure 1975 Italian film, Elio Bartolini’s L’Altro Dio, these two instrumentals …
Ritmo dell’industria N. 2
*Limited edition yellow vinyl* At the end of the ‘60s in Italy – but also abroad, especially in France and England – a very particular trend began to spread, that one known as ’Library music’ or ‘sonorization’: as suggested by its name, those were real music libraries intended for the accompaniment of audiovisual productions such as television programs, advertisements, documentaries and films. Since they were created in total artistic freedom condition, they are often difficult if not impossible…
Storie Di Guerra
Ominous drums, obscure cellos, fuzzy and distorted guitars, psychedelic piano sequences: legendary Italian composer Alessandro Alessandroni creates a somber and gritty war atmosphere on this classic library album "Storie Di Guerra". Originally released on the Octopus Records imprint by Flipper Music in 1972, this obscure and spooky library has been long out of print — 50 years past its release we are happy to bring this back on vinyl in collaboration with Flipper Music as a limited edition of 50…
La Terrificante Notte Del Demonio
*Limited edition of 300 copies.* Directed by Patrice Romme, The Devil's Nightmare was an Italian-Belgian production and featured main performers Jean Servais alongside a sensual Erika Blanc; also worthy of note is the disturbing presence of the graceful and filiform silhouette of Daniel Emilfork in the role of Satan. The film's components are typical of the Euro-horror genre of the time: a Gothic castle, eroticism, and bloody murders...all in a spectral and dense photograph. It is the music of M…
Shine On / Prohibition
Four Flies keeps digging into the secret archives of Alessandro Alessandroni to bring hidden treasures back to light. After two successful releases - the EP Afro Discoteca and the compilation album Lost & Found -, it is now the turn of a new 7’’ single featuring two tracks with a strong soul-funk influence, sung by the Maestro’s beloved Cantori Moderni in a typically Italian harmonizing style, poised somewhere in between gospel and disco music. Both tracks are previously unreleased and were rec…

Temi Ritmici e Dinamici
**CD version** If you are among those who own the two previous Braen's Machine LPs, Underground and Quarta pagina, you're probably already well aware of one of Italian library music best kept secrets, that is the real identities of those hiding behind the pseudonyms Braen and Gisteri. These were the monikers of Alessandro Alessandroni and Oronzo De Filippi, directed by Piero Umiliani and his record label Liuto. With Temi ritmici e dinamici (Rhythmic and dynamic themes) the plot thickens and give…
Quarta Pagina
**CD version** Another amazing find of our research - this obscure album by The Braen's Machine is dated 1971 and is part of one of the most fascinating and enigmatic periods of Italian music history. Library Music, made for radio and TV mainly, pressed on a few vinyl copies..."Quarta pagina" portrays with great ability some possible - who knows if they ever had been realized - crime scenes, with hard-boiled and dark atmospheres, alternating with the Psych-Funk rides that have always characteriz…
