Robert Rental takes up residence with Dark Entries again for a reissue of Mental Detentions. Robert Rental was a Scottish pioneer of DIY electronic music. Along with his illustrious collaborators like Thomas Leer and Daniel Miller, Rental helped shape the countercultural sound of the UK with his timely melding of Krautrock, dub, and punk. Originally from Port Glasgow, he moved to the south of England with Thomas Leer in the late 1970s, and became involved with the local music scene. Robert Renta…
Terry Riley’s Shri Camel is a meditative masterwork blending the feeling of eastern music with repetitive electronic patterns, obtained using a modified Yamaha YC-45D combo organ tuned in just intonation and augmented with digital delay. In C and Rainbow in Curved Air get all the ink (inc?), but its own somewhat subtle way, 1980’s Shri Camel, the last of the three brilliant albums Terry Riley recorded for CBS, is every bit as groundbreaking as its hallowed predecessors. Not content to rest on hi…

Darkened Obscurities contains the complete live set from Magasin 4 in Brussels/Belgium, the final stop of the European 14 date tour in 2024. The live set consists of four long pieces with interchangeable sounds that has been performed live since 2019 but always changed and evolved for each year. Many of the sounds may come from various tracks from studio albums, or are newly tailored for the live set, and some sounds are created by live improvisation. All sounds are manipulated and mixed live to…
The Slaying Of The Infants was the very first output from Stratvm Terror, originally released as a very limted edition demo cassette in 1994 (10-15 copies). Pulsing and beating, cold and doom power industrial electronics. Many of the tracks ended up in the first official release Germinal Chamber, released on cassette by OEC later the same year, but slightly different recordings/versions. Sleeve design mimic the design of the original demo cassette.
300 copies limited edition Second CD album (after the "Sutcliffe Jugend - Masks" / 2016) out on OEC by the UK masters! Very "old school Industrial" & a very "Sutcliffe Jugend" sounding album! Two wasps microphone feedback and Paul’s noise generator. Suitably fucked up!
*300 copies limited edition* The sounds in this double CD (already available as CD + Music Cassette in the "Atrax Morgue's - Mörder Machine" Box), are the very last recordings by Marco Corbelli and was found on a couple of reels in his studio after his death. For these recordings Marco used an old Korg MS20 synthesizer which produced a continuous background noise together with the audio signal, such noise is clearly audible in the recordings. During the editing phase this hiss was kept as an int…
OEC is proudly going for the re-release of this Industrial timless masterpiece on its 45th anniversary! And after 45 the relevance of that album is incredible, it feels like it was recoded yestarday. The lack of equipment & tools has sharpened creativity. Information Overload Unit by "System Planning Korporation / << SPK >>" is simply a M.U.S.T.
A reference and absolute highlight in Industrial culture and muzak!
A chronologically edited, audio document of the definitive recorded output of 'Les Sculptures Sonores', the instruments solely created by the French brothers Bernard and François Baschet, who from 1954 pioneered for over 45 years a completely new way of combining sculpture and sound. Some small, some over 20 feet high and incorporating glass rods, metal cones, wires, plastic inflatable resonators, and many other devices, these fascinating structures are not only cosmetically entrancing, but prod…

Can digital groove be distinguished from analogue groove? What do our pulse grids look like? Music on the timing grid, microtiming, quant…
Huge Tip! * Limited edition of 100 copies only. Special folded cover * Less a tapestry than an errant strand of lunatic fringe, Yado Tasu – Hotel 10KM ’s pulls us through a jungle of abandoned airwaves, smoky jazz clubs, and lost VHS tape with the guiding hand of Yado Tasu’s distinct brand of kitchen-sink bedroom-funk. Imagine a soundtrack Richie Unterberger might dream up for his conversation pit and you’re almost there. More than just record-collector music, Yado Tasu – Hotel 10KM is the grogg…
"Reflex" is Gábor Lázár's debut album on Raster. His new album is a collection of seven tracks, featuring an extended sound palette of percussions and synthesizers drawing our attention towards the essential soundscapes of techno while maintaining his distinct, uncompromising and meticulously detailed style. While the tracks do not follow traditional narratives, the album has an evolution: it gently builds up from challenging, unpredictable, and organically composed structures to linear yet play…

Twin Color - Vol 1 marks the grand return of Murcof to producing a full-length album in all its glory and generosity, nearly two decades after the release of Cosmos in 2007. Celebrated for his classical, minimalist textures and unique soundscapes, Murcof has established himself as a master of modern ambient music alongside Tim Hecker, Alva Noto, and Johann Johannsson. With this new album, Murcof takes a bold step forward, embracing a distinctly cinematic and dystopian narrative influenced by the…
Through the course of time, DSR Lines (David Edren) never loses his intimate and profound connection to the universe of modular synths. These recordings made during 2014 in a residence at the Cem/Worm studio in Rotterdam, represent a further magical compendium of his Organic Electronic Music. In particular, here he draws from his expressive arsenal the cosmic and galactic potential of the Arp 2500, which happily floating throughout. A rigorous magician of vaporous, oscillating patterns, sidereal…
"... anatomical and cellular symphonies, catharsis of invisible biochemical processes, painting the micro-dimensional flows of the subtle body or imaginary geographies of hidden micro-bodies. Here, Edrens organic electronic music is enriched with new lymphs that also vaguely recall the influences of non-European music, especially Chinese and Japanese music (stick and chimes percussions) in an intimate and twilight dimension, poised between exotic ambient and cinematic suggestions. A miniaturisti…
Oliver Coates' Throb, shiver, arrow of time is a portal into somatic chiaroscuro, aglow with the embers of imperfect memories and smudged with the plumes of internal echoes, which augment in vast, mercurial dimensions. The ten compositions of Throb, shiver, arrow of time find weightless melodies soaring across after-image gradients, while Coates reaches further to collapse the digital into the analogue and vice versa, allowing serendipity to reorganize the material and push outwards, so the musi…
"Oxide Manifesto is intended as an audio sketchbook, which explores a particular method of creating music. It aims to link obsolete machines and experimental composition. In recording it, I embraced as many techniques of working with magnetic tape as possible. I gave myself the freedom to lean into the perceived flaws of tape as a recording format. Often we hear ‘it’s not about the equipment’. But on this album the equipment is in equal focus to the music. Wow, flutter, wonky pitch, abrupt edits…
