They also created some outstanding multimedia works, mainly three CD ROM projects and ten DVDs. "In April 2023, there was released the first part of the Fluxus edition called Stolen Symphony. The year has come and gone and there is the second part of the Fluxus edition called Keep Together. At the centre of both parts of this edition was a broken piano, acquired by the Opening Performance Orchestra for the purpose of making live and studio recordings. During this time other new works for this broken piano were written by diverse Fluxus and non-Fluxus composers. In the spring of 2022, the O…
*200 copies limited edition* "Halki pilvien - transl. Trough the clouds - brings exactly what one expects from the clouds. It is a collection of soft and gentle movements, as playful as a ‘Jan Anderzén type of music’ is always. A collection of patterns that solidify for just a brief moment in time, before sublimating in the back of the mind. This album is in constant motion. Push play. A warped piano and cartoonish SFX’s might foretell a hyperreal approach to music. Yet while the champion of hyp…

Fanaticus is the new full length album from Organ Of Corti, the trio of Dan Johansson (Sewer Election), Mattias Gustafsson (Altar of Flies), and Joachim Nordwall (iDEAL, The Skull Defekts). A significant evolution from 2022's Auris, also released on New Forces, Fanaticus blends tape loops and analog synths into a claustrophobic exhibition of tense and curious sound. Each of these seven tracks has a depth to it that demands repeated listening. Fanaticus deftly weaves together the subtle nuances o…
Outre-nuit as Outre-noir by Pierre Soulages, the greatest nuances on subtle variations. The programme can be listened to in one go between Clara's two compositions, it's Xnoybis, an extraordinary performance by the great Giacinto Scelsi - a piece that makes you feel like you're listening for the first time - Giacinto Scelsi's Xnoybis (1964) is a journey amongst the reliefs contained within one single pitch. Written in three parts, the piece is an instinctive approach to the sound spectrum (the t…
An extremely prolific artist, whose work encompasses composition, opera, theater, radio plays, film or performance, Ergo Phizmiz returns in due time to the Discrepant fold long after his 'Two Quartets' and 'Disco Carousel' - under his given DW Robertson name - albums. A purveyor of the Creative Commons rights, Phizmiz has been deploying much of his work on the ever expanding Free Music Archive directed by WFMU since the early 2000's, creating a sprawling and defiant body of work that defies give…
Thomas Barrière developed this album during the last ten years. Much has happened during the decade between "Primaire", his first solo album released in 2014 on Thödol and "Alkebulan". During this period, he travelled across the world several times with Trottola Circus, he formed the band Algecow with his cohort Bastien Pelenc, he composed a bunch of film soundtracks, and he became a father. And the world changed as well of course!! Thomas goes back to all forms of music that impressed him throu…
Lili Holland-Fricke and Sean Rogan’s debut album “dear alien” is a constellation of radiant improvised impulses, imagined in lucent fragments of cello, guitar and voice. Spacious, tender and glistening with rich electronic distortion, the record melds a spectrum of processed and natural sound as the artists invite listeners into their dreamlike world of synergetic introspections. Cultivated through a shared spirit of resourcefulness and play, “dear alien” emerges as an organic meeting place in t…
100 copies limited edition Cortizona affiliate Mich L. debuts on Dauw with a new album titled Shelved Dreams (for a new Nubia). The Brussels based musician returns with 3 tracks where he invites his listeners to turn hearing into listening. Using only analog synths and equipment, Mich L. strokes the air of minimalism in a tensive hide and seek of frequencies. The gradual build up and disappearance of the latter form the basis of an introspective experience that challenges to accept a certain deg…
* Edition of 500 copies, comes with a lyric booklet. Mastered by Joakim Karlsson. * With the intention of doing a proper and full out choir record, Helvetet På Jorden was initiated by Blod two years ago. While the finished album became something slightly different, it's a much more vocal-based record compared to its thematically linked predecessors Pilgrimssånger (2022) and Där Ska Barnet Vara (2023). Deeply influenced by Swedish church music and psalms, Helvetet På Jorden consists of 10 of the …

*Dubbed on reused ferro tapes* Reveries; an apartment and it's lonesome inhabitant. Field recordings and reamps through lousy computer speakers. The livelyhood and sounds of tape running around different objects, chatting radios and the fiddeling of a diverse array of small talkative machines. All recordings were made within the same weekend, being alone in my apartment. Edited, cut apart and put back together.
*Dubbed on new ferro tapes* A collaboration between accordionist K. Vidar, recorded and edited by J. Folke with onset from Vidar's solo accordion concert in a water tower in Brønshøj. Recordings are made the day prior to the concert, and subsequent on the staircases of the conservatory on Rosenørns Alle. Edited and processed throughout the summer 2024.
Following last year’s “the Inner Room” Freddy Ruppert continues to explore false cinematic world building within these five tracks that are exclusive to this split cassette. Focusing on heavily manipulated samples, this time he brings textures to the forefront, in a blend of creeping ambient noir, synthetic realms, and hazy atmosphere. Although very often simply filled with the most basic vocabulary of the harsh noise canon, the releases - sometimes criminally obscure and limited - of Josh Stewa…
