Bruno Duplant
Bruno Duplant is a French composer and musician based in the north of France. Self-taught, he works with double bass, organ, piano, percussion, electronics and field recordings. His large catalogue of solo pieces, scores and long-distance collaborations deals with memory, space and what he calls "fictions", and draws on writers such as Georges Perec, Francis Ponge and Gaston Bachelard and on John Cage, Luc Ferrari and Rolf Julius. The LP fictions (Aussenraum) takes the exclusion zones of Chernobyl and Fukushima as its starting point.
