Down But Defiant Yet/Acceptance Is Not Respect
Fourth Dimension collects a couple of immense, previously CD-only albums into one neat package from Ramleh/Broken Flag's Gary Mundy, operating under his Kleistwahr handle. 'Down But Defiant Yet' and 'Acceptance is Not Respect' were originally released in 2017 and 2018 and were created with a more spiritual intent than previous works. Mysterious Kitchens
A special delicacy for all you Severed Heads fans: In th 1980s the cassette was a much desired format. They were cheap, inexpensive to buy, easy to duplicate and manageable for less technically skilled people, too. The sound was raw and hissy, encouraging raw and hissy ideas. If you couldn't afford to have a vinyl LP pressed, you could still get heard. It was the most DIY product ever. Terse Tapes was one the first cassette labels in Australia ever, although the label started with two vinyl rele…

Music From The Withered Orange Tree
Originally released in the mid 80's on UK cassette label Bite Back!, this nearly lost gem finds new life 30 years later on Cocktail D'Amore Music. Steve has cobbled together a superbly melancholic electronic concept album. Wistful melodies often evoke sentiments of a lost childhood and hazy English mornings. Each song within remains untitled allowing full perceptive freedom as to what they all communicate, a language for the feelings that have no name. Untitled A1 - A6 leads one along intimate s…

Comprising two untitled side-long pieces, 'Do Not' catches Gary Mundy of Ramleh in peak 'noise' mode with his solo endeavour, taking much from his place as one of the innovators of the so-called power electronics genre yet pushing this confrontational avant-garde sensibility somewhere entirely new. It is a sound that Kleistwahr has continued to ex…

Waves of Peace
1983’s Waves of Peace is an album of gentle reflection. The sound of ocean waves permeates every track. Sitar, tambura, synthesizer, and bamboo flute are among the instruments that Aziz & Friends use to conjure their blissful oceanic meditation. “Waves of Peace was born in the beautiful oceanside town of Santa Cruz, California.” Aziz recalls. “Living there in 1982 was the first timeI had ever lived so close to the ocean. I would walk down to the beach on a daily basis. Nature has always been a m…
