Palazzo
Domotic − the alias used by musician Stéphane Laporte − composed and mixed this new album, Palazzo, at the invitation of Ina GRM, and it is a wonderful addition to a career full of projects and numerous releases. Recorded with his favorite analog synth, the SH01, his four-track MT4X and a Copicat tape echo unit, this electronic piece was subsequently mixed in binaural and stereo
Mastice
*Edition of 100 numbered copies * Fabrizio Testa (Milan 1981) is an Italian musician and experimenter. His records are often a bizarre juxtaposition of different kinds chewed and vomited and finally transformed into "other" music. "Even the stylistic choice of the artwork - a precious and limited homemade cloth bag with a button and cd-r inside - speaks of a lateral approach to the already subterranean dynamics of reference. Stuff (almost) homemade for an intimate, careful, in-depth dimension of…
Unknowable Determinism
Konrad Zuse, who built the first programmable computer (the Z3, in 1941), suggested that the universe is a computer: underlying the known laws of physics is an algorithmic system like a cellular automaton whose computational output is the matter and energy that make up the universe. In this theory, the world is computed through the interaction of billions of simple elements, and the directional time and 3D space that we experience are emergent properties of this computation. The computation is d…
Anonymous Sextet For Perverted Piano
Ben Glas (b. 1992) is an experiential composer based in Berlin. Through ephemeral compositions Glas' work questions preconceived notions between the acts of passive hearing and active listening. In seeking to discover open ended forms of music and pragmatic listening perspectives, Glas' compositions focus on the realms of subjective perception and cognition, via the use of acoustics, psychoacoustics and space as tools for sonic composition. His work has been exhibited and performed internationall…

Karlsbad
Thrilled to announce the reissue of Nikolaus Utermöhlen’s ‘Karlsbad’ album, originally released in 1989. Utermöhlen was a founding member of Die Tödliche Doris and this is his sole solo release. A collection of 23 witty oddball compositions for clarinet, accordion, percussion, recorder, violin, guitar, organ. It definitely has a Doris dose but even more so it shines for its totally singular mélange of tribal dada chamber folk, dilettante dissonant poetry, hard to compare with anything else. A sl…
Egisto e la Chiave del Sogno
** Limited edition of 60. With insert ** An imaginary soundtrack to the films of Egisto Macchi by Brecht Ameel of the Belgium band Razen
The Well And The Gentle
Tip! The Well & The Gentle, two of the major works of Pauline Oliveros, are presented here in a first time reissue on double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with extensive liner notes. If Oliveros had followed a more conventional path she may have, all social obstacles aside, been considered among the major composers of her time. However, Oliveros approached composition in a more egalitarian manner. She wrote music for musicians to interact with or, in the composers words, she wished to create "an in…
Troca Iônica
*100 copies limited edition. In process of stocking* Tsss Tapes presents Troca Iônica by Abby Lee Tee and Philip Sulidae. These two musicians are quite active in the sound art/abstract music circuit, and this is the result of a long-distance collaboration between Austria and Australia, two long pieces of electronic sounds mixed with field recordings, all very calm and dotted here and there with microscopic details.
Bükülür Bükülmez
*100 copies limited edition. In process of stocking* Tsss Tapes presents Bükülür Bükülmez by Deli Kuvveti. A collection of sounds that he recorded at home in Turkey a few years ago, and now that he lives far away, in another country, he got his hands on it and has remixed and manipulated them until he got this cassette. There are a lot of sounds household, banging cutlery, taps, the sound of his mother laughing, all of it manipulated until it became almost unrecognisable.
Alas The Madonna Does Not Function
Tip! 1988 saw the release of several timeless and remarkable EPs from Nurse With Wound, one of those classics is Alas the Madonna Does Not Function. Madonna in some respect was a turning point for NWW. It’s a record that whilst unmistakably retaining that ineffable NWW character brought rhythmic and almost ‘musical’ elements into play. Madonna could be seen along with the Soresucker and Cooloorta Moon EPs as the bridge between the old and the new, the natural precursors to Thunder Perfect Mind a…
Exposition of Cloves
*Edition of 300* Exposition of Clove is the new fast electro-acoustic album by the duo of Matteo Castro and Riccardo Mazza. Hailing from the farthest North-East glacial tip of Italy, Lettera 22 utilize elements of musique concrete sound sources, delicately sampled, looped and edited; resulting in 5 very subtle and rich compositions of textured noise and field recordings via analogue tapes and feedback.
The Sound Pool
Pioneers of live electronics, found sound and urban environment-as-instrument, Musica Elettronica Viva created suites that were as imaginary as imaginative.
Soap & Glue
Compendium coffin closer from Pat Klassen’s Barn Sour project. A project where the batshit crazy defies the beautiful whilst relishing in unease. Animals appear as phantasms, humans expel intense emotional states. Borderline music and borderline funny this is not for the faint of heart. Soap and Glue collages material from all six Barn Sour releases on a variety of labels, Staighre, Careful Catalog, 72 Fold Mane etc alongside a small sprinkling of exclusive material. The final Barn Sour release …

Powerdrone electronics by Dresselhaus and Väisänen. Duncan's lyrics and vocals. Sublime and daunting. Tanzcandid stumbling wobbling shuffling muddling wallowing careening blundering toppling faltering unraveling bungling entangled snarling blustering bullying wrecking butchering mangling
Cantare la voce
* 500 copies, numbered edition. Clear Splatter Vinyl * Reissue of a 1978 LP out on Cramps Records. Demetrio Stratos's research into the field of phonetic and experimental poetry led to his freeing his voice every naturalistic restraint, restoring its depth and dimension. The result of this can be heard in the two recordings of his compositions "Metrodora" and "Cantare la Voce" where what sounds like an instrument is in fact his voice.
Quartz Mirliton Cassettes
Biggest Tip! Quartz-Mirliton Cassettes has been among the most obscure of 1970s experimental music labels. This forthcoming VOD release, presented in two boxes, throws light on this mysterious cassette venture, its context and associated recordings. Closely associated with the London Musicians Collective, Quarzwas launched by Paul Burwell and David Toop in 1977. Produced in tiny editions with handmade covers, the cassettes largely documented live sessions and field recordings made by a close net…
Trem
Amgen presents Rhodri Davies's Trem. Live at All Angels, St Michael and All Angels Church, West London.
No. 5
LP version. "While on the island of Syros in the Aegean Sea for a film festival performance, Christina Vantzou experienced what she characterized as 'a moment of focus' -- a specific vision for the sprawl of raw recordings she'd been amassing for her fifth album. Upon relocating to the Cycladic island of Ano Koufonisi, she situated herself outside at a patio table with a laptop and headphones, taking brief breaks to swim, and began the 'reductive process' of shaving and shaping the source materi…
Elliptical Gamelan
Astasie-abasie is a project of Ian Andrews which evolved out of a long running performance collaboration with Garry Bradbury. The project focuses on the amplification of small sounds (following the approach of John Cage, Gordon Mumma and David Tudor) through the capture of sounds generated by small objects by way of contact microphones, home constructed cartridges, miniature piezo microphones and conventional microphones. Various devices are used as constraints in order to distance any performin…
