*2025 stock* After a long break Wozzeck returns to Intonema with an album called Fact I that opens the next chapter in the group's history. Ilia Belorukov, Mikhail Ershov and Konstantin Samolovov celebrated a decade of the band last year and wrote a piece with the materials collected over several years, transformed them and placed them into a new context.
This resulted in a 37-minute composition of math rock, noise, musique concrete and field recordings with a wide dynamic range and sounds throu…
*2025 stock* In 2013, the collaboration of electronic musician Gaudenz Badrutt and saxophonist Ilia Belorukov began in a trio with accordionist Jonas Kocher, and in 2014 the album Rotonda was released on Intonema. Since then, time has passed, Badrutt and Belorukov have toured also as a duo, Belorukov later switching to a modular synthesizer.
In March 2019 in Biel/Bienne, the duo fruitfully worked in a new context, looking for fresh ways to interact, not only with each other, but also between ele…
“I did this piano/Rhodes recording, played live, without overdubs. I believe your approach to sound could match very well these tracks….” That’s how Giovanni Di Domenico’s collaboration with Rutger Zuydervelt started, though the first seeds were planted when the duo did a short live improv together in 2019, and Giovanni joining Hydra Ensemble on stage in 2022.
Painting a Picture / Picture a painting is -as the title suggest- an album of two long-form pieces, swapping the working method for each …
*150 copies limited edition* "It is not easy to draw inspiration from a great figure of music ... i don’t have her talent or anything like that ... But i still took the risk of trying something ... Even to go through the window in the eyes of some ... Too interested in poetry and the hypnotic force that emerges from her pieces ... Sometimes tinkered with implausible machines and fragile ... Gigantic in our eyes that are stuck blissfully behind our little screens ... Or instruments used as nobod…
*2025 stock* We’re beyond thrilled to present ükya, the first band ever on our label which does not feature any member from Nakama! Ah, how we delight in the smell, taste and – not least – sounds of fresh blood! Jokes aside – we still consider them family, as two of them have attended The Nacademy in the past. ükya (always written with a small ü) is an up and coming Norwegian trio playing music in the field of improvised and open form music. Dangerous as individuals, lethal as a band!

"I envision this music as emanating from a moon inhabited by otherworldly life forms and ecosystems; these sounds as evoking the moon’s topographies, beings, lunar rivers, and strands of light — as if this moon’s essence were itself sonic, vibrational matter. Musically and acoustically, strands of lunar light departs from a set of tones corresponding to a confined harmonic series segment of a very low fundamental frequency: 5.15 hertz. Through twelve continuous sections, each employing various m…
*200 hand-numbered copies limited edition* HolyKindOf is multi instrumentalist J. Bryan Parks from Akron, Ohio. Is a part of Rubber City Noise. HolyKindOf is a solo venture that began its current incarnation in the late spring of 2012 in a cathartic response to personal tragedy. Using dense layers of manipulated loops; primarily cello, field recordings, tape & voice. He sculpts viscerally; a requiem of repetitive phrase, culminating heady delicacies, evolving melodies & crescendo. Each live perf…
Kari Takemoto, who performs improvised live collaborations with various artists using sumi ink, flowers, painting, recitation, and dance, releases a solo guitar album. The album was mastered by Chihei Hatakeyama, a leading figure in the Japanese ambient scene. The album contains 10 tracks, including a song for the introduction video for the solo exhibition held at Ginza six by Chima, the ink painter in charge of the ink on the jacket of the album, as well as a song for the art event gallery.
"Pressure relief..... these are the sounds to listen with caution. dustsceawung is a well used pot on the stove with a locking lid. The broken gauge configured with a crack that looks suspiciously like a smile. A worn rubber gasket creating a seal far past it's expected life by the manufacturer. Still this is not enough. There is no measure to how much force lies within. A hiss escapes, a rattle or knocking comes and goes. The process continues with thoughts of the contents within. In this case …

Intimate guitar recordings made at C Haxholms home in the countryside. This tape to me feels like a quite unique snapshot into the Artists daily life, But at the same time the music feels very composed and thoughtful. A very sweet and heartwarming tape
*200 copies limited edition* In February 2019, multi-instrumentalists Maurizio Abate and Luca Venitucci crossed musical paths as part of an artist residency at Standards in Milan. Over those few days, their respective instruments engaged in a dialogue, shaping sounds and structures within the space that housed them. While working on the post-production of the recorded material, Abate and Venitucci enlisted the valuable and decisive collaboration of fellow like-minded musicians Roberto Laneri and…
The inspiration for these pieces comes from the Chinese folklore of Guanyin, a deity whose name translates to ‘the one who perceives all the sounds, or cries, of the world’. Also known as Guanshiyin 觀世音, she is the embodiment of infinite compassion. I grew up knowing of Guanyin as a female deity, but recently discovered that she had transformed through the centuries from the male Hindu bodhisattva, Avalokiteśvara. I instantly found an affinity for this gender-fluid figure, who was said to have a…
*150 copies limited release* "Borrowed Out Of Time is the latest album by Kaurna Country artist and writer, Tristan Louth-Robins. It follows a steadily paced run of releases for labels like 3LEAVES (2013’s The Path Described) and his own Studio Maurilia which share an inquisitive spirit, informed by, but different from, influences such as Alvin Lucier and Rolf Julius. While Tristan’s compositions might be neatly situated somewhere adjacent to both sound art and acoustic ecology, they aren’t beho…
Open to the Sea was born around the musical experiences of Enrico Coniglio, here playing piano and synths, and of the music wizard Matteo Uggeri who adds his world of samples, noises, field recordings and recorded instruments played by friends. The first CD is a re-edition of the double mini-cd “Watering a Paper Flower” where an echoed piano goes through delicate and enchanted sound tapestries, remembering a river slowly flowing to the sea. The second CD, with the participation of a third musici…

Composed and performed by Ronan Courty, this piece for solo double bass slows down the layers of time by invoking an invented age-old music, somewhere between imaginary folklore and early music. Acoustically produced, the violent and obsessive friction of the bow on the string gradually reveals hovering layers of harmonics that extend the suspension of the moment while evoking a kind of electronically produced ambient sound; the illusion created by the emergence of sustained tones is particularl…
