Synod was a band that performed at concerts and dances, festivals, colleges, private parties, conferences and other venues from 1971 through 2013. They toured incessantly in the early years, traveling from Chicago in Illinois to New York, South Carolina, Georgia, Nebraska and seven other states. Recording was completed by 9 August and the album was released when Martyn was 19 in October 1967. The album reputedly cost £158 to record.
