La STPO (La société des timides à la parade des oiseaux / the shy society at the bird parade) was founded in 1984. Of the five current members, three have been within the band since its beginning : Pascal Godjikian (vocals), JimB (guitar), Patrice Babin (drums, percussion). Christophe Gautheur (keyboards, sax, clarinet) joined five years later. Sébastien Desloges (bass, violin) has been in the group since 2011. Romanciel is the tenth album of the band.
