Macronympha

Macronympha is an American noise and power electronics project formed in Pittsburgh by Joseph Roemer and Rodger Stella. Its sound is a dense collage of scrap metal struck together, then layered and looped, mostly with analogue equipment. The group is known for a long run of cassette releases, many issued on its own imprint, Mother Savage Noise Productions, and the rest on underground labels in several countries. Macronympha tapes include Insane Torture Device, Relentless Agony and The Spectacle of Ravishing Our Maidens, and the group also released the LP Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
