Markus Guentner

Country: Germany

Markus Guentner is a German composer and producer from Regensburg who has released ambient and electronic music since 2000. He came out of the Pop Ambient circle around the label Kompakt, where his debut album In Moll appeared in 2001. Most of his music relies on slow, drifting textures, and his later work moved toward drone. Markus Guentner made his first record in 2000, the Kompakt EP Regensburg, built from recordings of church bells, and his music appeared on Pop Ambient 2001. He also recorded for Ware, Sending Orbs and Moodgadget.
