The companion Tusco release, and the title says it: electronic suspense, Piero Umiliani alone at the Sound Work Shop with sequencers and a Fender Rhodes, building tension cues for programmes that mostly never existed. Nave spia, Relitti, Degrado, Leggermente misterioso: Cold War thriller titles for a composer who had begun with Italian neorealism and ended making ambient music for himself.
The 1982 Telesound records are the last stretch of the Umiliani library catalogue and among the most collected, partly because so few were pressed and partly because they sound like nothing else he did. Original pressing.
