Tempo Livre is a collaboration between Pedro Tavares (funcionário) and Luís Neto, where progressive rock, ambient folk, experimental electronics, and pop intertwine in compositions that explore themes of memory, fear, and transformation. The album Terra Nova is a sonic journey divided into nine tracks that drift between ethereal passages and rhythmic explosions, where the delicacy of traditional acoustic instruments like santur, nyckelharpa, and duduk contrasts with eclectic drums, elastic basslines, and heavily processed vocals.

Born as a collaborative exploration, the project began with recordings of acoustic instruments evoking an ambient atmosphere with folk influences. These soundscapes evolved through layers of autotuned vocals, expansive drums, 12-string guitar, nyckelharpa, bass, and additional digital production—merging into a sonic universe where progressive rock, experimental music, and electronic elements converge. Tracks like “Ruminação” and “Em Apneia” reveal a strong emotional charge, with introspective, poetic lyrics woven into the sonic arrangements.

More than a simple album, Terra Nova is an exploration of the boundaries between genres and emotions, where Pedro Tavares and Luís Neto build a musical universe that drifts between worlds, creating a unique fusion where the traditional transforms and the unexpected unfolds.
