Electronic Music
**Original copies fromm the 70s** Excellent minimal electronic album of this Swedish avantgarde composer. Since Sven-Erik Back's début in the 1940′s he has been regarded as a radical avantgardist, his compositions are kept together by a never failing formal imagination and an intuitive sensitivity to sound qualities. Electronic Music was released on vinyl by Fylkingen Records (FYLP 1021) in 1978.

This release then of three short pieces under ten minutes by the Pole; Autograph (1980), Rondo (1984) and Zertstreutes Hinausschauen (1971) clearly holds some emotional resonance for Tilbury as he reflects on the music of his deceased old friend, and he then adds a fourth track here, a thirteen minute long improvisation in Sikorski's memory. Considered to be Becker's masterpiece, the second album (1982) is the more subterranean, moodier one, and it's also the one that I personally prefer. Not to stress the Suicide connection, but at times the tracks really have a gentle Suicide feel softened with a Kraut expansiveness (slowly ever-shifting) that doesn't completely erase the angst underneath.
