Recorded by the Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza at Fono Roma in 1971, Eroina is a series of haunting improvisations - each one inspired by the effects of a different drug - made of whirling electronic glitches, skronky horns, pounded piano, funky drums and weird …

Défense de Savoir
Transversales Disques proudly presents the first LP reissue of Défense de savoir (L’uomo in basso a destra nella fotografia) original soundtrack written by italian composer Bruno Nicolai. During the Giallo boom of the early 70’s, a lot of French film directors started working with maestro Ennio Morricone. French director Nadine Trintignant decided to hire the maestro’s musical orchestrator and collaborator Bruno Nicolai to compose the score of her fourth movie, a political thriller starring her …
Eaten Alive
From the same authors that did the Texas Chainsaw Massacre soundtrack... Tobe Hooper and William Bell... Insane soundtrack with kill scene shrieking taken directly from the movie edited quite nicely into a killer LP with amazing intro and outro jams, screams, swamp sound, crocodiles, and synthesizers. It may sound like a missing entry in the Hanson Records catalogue!
Il Magnifico Tony Carrera
Transversales Disques presents the first ever LP reissue of Gianni Marchetti's Il Magnifico Tony Carrera, ultra-rare Italian soundtrack originally released on cult CAM label in 1969. Gianni Marchetti wrote this beautiful score for the Euro-spy film Il Magnifico Tony Carrera as he was more of a songwriter than a film composer. The score includes lots of different atmospheres and arrangements: from fuzzy dark psychedelic themes with harpsichord and haunted choirs (performed by the famous 4 + 4 di …
Yell
Inside the vast Goblin archive, "Yell" is perhaps one of the less well-known tracks, that undoubtedly deserves no less attention that the band's most famous works. It's a song composed for bass guitar, percussion and keyboards where an opening reminiscent of "L'alba dei Morti Viventi" is followed by a sudden vibe change, due to the quick entrance of all the other instruments: electric piano chords, a pulsating bass, obscure synths and twisted keyboards still preserve that mix of tension and and …
Cani Arrabbiati

I Vampiri
Edition of 400. "I Vampiri" (aka "The Devil's Commandment," 1957) co-directed by Riccardo Freda (as "Robert Hampton") and Mario Bava (uncredited) is Italy's first horror film of the sound era. According to certain sources, Mario Bava -- besides taking care of the cinematography, lighting and special effects, also completed both movies as director and his original touch is very evident in these works. The soundtrack composed by Maestro Roman Vlad (1919, Cernovtzy, Ukraine) is here for the first t…
Pulsar Music ltd
An outstanding lbirary CD (Originally on Cometa) played by Pulsar, a short living group formed in 1976 by jazz musician Enrico Pieranunzi and Silvano Chimenti , was called The Pulsar in honor of the neutron star and, to date, it was thought that their only album had been used for the soundtrack of the MarioCaiano's movie Milano Violenta. The feel of the album is similar to that of some of the best tracks on the Stroboscopia comps – with lots of tight drums, rumbling basslines, and cool electric …
Hagazussa
Mohammad are back!! With their name compressed into MMMD deliver their most lyrical work to date on the original soundtrack for Lukas Feigelfeld's slow-burning gothic horror movie “Hagazussa – A heathen's curse”. The music is absorbing, emotional and powerful as ever and bears MMMD's familiar idiosyncratic universe galvanized in their previous releases, while open to new sonic territories that reflect the film's constant state of dread as well as key elements such as trauma, isolation, anxiety a…
The Stormy Man
A rare soundtrack session from Japanese jazz legend Hideo Shiraki; Also with pianist Takeshi Inomata and saxophonist Hidehiko "Sleepy" Matsumoto "Inomata and saxophonist Hidehiko "Sleepy" Matsumoto as well! The cover's somewhat unassuming, but the music inside is quite vivid and rich – jazz tracks used as a film score, often with a quality that's like the best jazz soundtracks coming out of French and Italian cinema at the end of the 50s – with a very different vibe than some of Shiraki's later …
Good-Bye Moscow
A great Japanese jazz soundtrack from the late 60s by Toshiro Mayuzumi and Masao Yagi– as full of feeling and creative inspiration as some of the best French jazz scores of the New Wave! The tunes here mostly stand out as strong jazz numbers on their own – although there are a few shorter, more introspective or scene-setting passages – and although the players and notes are all in Japanese, we can tell you that the music's mostly in a small combo mode, with strong solos on tenor, trumpet,…
Il Federale
Doxy present Ennio Morricone's complete soundtrack for the 1961 film Il Federale (The Fascist) on vinyl for the first time. This soundtrack written by a young Morricone for Luciano Salce's Il Federale starring Ugo Tognazzi, is a music jewel containing many elements so typical of his later style that he has developed and matured during his incredible career; this score is important from a historical point of view since it represents Morricone's absolute first film scoring assignment. First time c…
Il Terrorista
Doxy present Piero Piccioni's complete soundtrack for the 1963 film Il Terrorista on vinyl for the first time. Directed in 1963 by Gianfranco De Bosio and starring Gian Maria Volontè, Anouk Aimée, Tino Carraro, Philippe Leroy, the great Piero Piccioni created "easy listening" music such as foxtrots, band music, waltzes as opposed to serious music for large orchestras that dramatically describes all the historical and political aspect of the story. Contamination
2018 small repress. “Contamination” was released in 1980 as a soundtrack for the eponymous horror/science fiction film, during what probably was the most prolific period in Goblin’s career, even if the band had already been abandoned by guitarist Massimo Morante and keyboardist Claudio Simonetti. Unkonwn by most listeners, it’s a release that deserves more attention, since it shows a wide range of music styles (Jazz, funk, rock, electronic) and once again Goblin’s ability in writing film scores.
