Aaron Martin

Country: United States

Aaron Martin is an American cellist and composer based in Topeka, Kansas. He builds slow, intimate pieces around the cello, often adding banjo, organ, harmonica, concertina, glockenspiel or lap steel, which he plays himself. He is known for his solo albums, for the duo From the Mouth of the Sun with the Swedish musician Dag Rosenqvist, and for his film scores. Martin's fourth solo album, Worried About the Fire, came out in 2010. Touch Dissolves, released by IIKKI, pairs his cello with photographs by Yusuf Sevinçli, and A Room Now Empty appeared on Preserved Sound in 2018.
