Aglaia
Aglaia is an Italian ambient project started by Gino Fioravanti and Gianluigi Toso, whose backgrounds include therapy, writing, painting and teaching. Its long, slow pieces sound almost motionless, built from synthesizers, quiet electronics and processed acoustic instruments such as harp and zither, with ideas taken from Zen and Tantric philosophy. Aglaia's early albums, among them Sacred Waters, appeared on Hic Sunt Leones. In 2009 the duo released Private History of the Clouds, a collaboration with Stefano Musso of Alio Die, on Infraction.
