Carol Robinson

Carol Robinson is a Franco-American clarinetist and composer. She graduated from Oberlin Conservatory and continued her study of contemporary music in Paris on a H.H. Woolley grant. She is known as an interpreter of Giacinto Scelsi, Morton Feldman, Luigi Nono and Eliane Radigue, and has written more than sixty works, including music for choreographers. Her cycle The Weather Pieces, begun in 2012 and released by Mode in 2023, uses aleatoric procedures with electronics, and includes pieces for electric guitar, double bass and basset horn.
