El Aviador Dro

In 1977, the fascist dictatorship that ruled Spain for 40 years was crumbling, and a new generation of Spanish artists were pushing the limits of their freedom.  It was around this time that a bunch of art school students in Madrid decided to form a punk rock band called Alex y los Drugos (after the main characters of A Clockwork Orange).  Upon hearing the lastest albums by Kraftwerk and Devo, the band traded its guitars for analog synthesizers and changed its name to El Aviador Dro y Sus Obreros Especializados
