Hilda Jolivet

Hilda Jolivet, born Sarah Hilda Ghuighui (also spelled Guigue), was the second wife of the French composer André Jolivet, whom she married in 1933. She is known as the author of Avec... André Jolivet, a book on the composer published by Flammarion in Paris in 1978, four years after his death. Hilda and André Jolivet had three children: Pierre-Alain (born 1935), Christine (born 1940) and Merri (born 1943). Being Jewish, she lived through the Second World War under the anti-Semitic laws of the Vichy regime.
