Founded in 1978 by Rock Magazine editor-in-chief Yuzuru Agi, Vanity Records captured the cutting-edge musical trends of its time, including new bands working with post-punk values, alternative approaches by musicians who had been in bands, and electronic and industrial music as the cutting edge of the times.
