Maeror Tri

Maeror Tri was a German drone trio formed in 1988 by three musicians from Leer, in the north of the country: Stefan Knappe, Martin Gitschel and Helge Siehl. The group worked with electric guitars run through large numbers of effects and processing devices, building slow and dense soundscapes that drew on industrial music, minimalism and new age meditation music. Knappe also ran the label Drone Records. Early releases came out on cassette, among them Venenum (Audiofile Tape, 1992).
