Masonna
Masonna is the noise project of Yamazaki Takushi, known as Maso, an Osaka artist active since 1987 whose performances are famous for lasting only a few minutes: a burst of screaming, feedback and physical collapse, then silence. His records, on Alchemy, Alien8 and his own Coquette label, stretch the same energy across whole sides. He has also been a member of Christine 23 Onna with Toda Fusao of Angel'in Heavy Syrup, of Flying Testicle with Merzbow, and of Bustmonster, the Japanese noise supergroup with Masami Akita on drums, and around 1998 started Space Machine, a project for analogue synthesizers.
