PainKiller

PainKiller is a New York trio formed in 1991 by saxophonist John Zorn, bassist Bill Laswell and drummer Mick Harris, formerly of Napalm Death. The group joined free jazz saxophone and grindcore speed and volume in short, violent pieces, and in later years added long dub and ambient passages. PainKiller's first records, Guts of a Virgin (1991) and Buried Secrets (1992), came out on Earache, followed by Rituals: Live in Japan and Execution Ground (1994).
