Phillip Sollmann

Phillip Sollmann (born 1974 in Kassel) is a German musician, DJ and sound artist, best known for the techno he has released as Efdemin. He studied music in Vienna and has lived in Berlin since 2005. He also works with acoustic instruments, tuning systems and installations. Under his own name he released Something Is Missing (Dial, 2006); as Efdemin he followed with Efdemin (2007), Chicago (2010) and Decay (2014) on Dial, and New Atlantis (2019) and Poly (2025) on Ostgut Ton. Monophonie (A-TON, 2020) uses instruments built by Harry Partch.
