Telectu
Telectu was the Portuguese duo of Jorge Lima Barreto, jazz musician, critic and musicologist, and the guitarist Vítor Rua, who had co-founded the pop band GNR. From their 1982 debut CTU they moved between minimalism, electronics, musique concrète, free jazz and rock, and wrote their early records on scores. They released Off Off (1984) and Performance (1985) on their own imprint 3 Macacos, made music for theatre, video and the performances of Manoel Barbosa, and played with Elliott Sharp, Chris Cutler, Jac Berrocal, Carlos Zíngaro and Sunny Murray.
