The Shadow Ring

The Shadow Ring was an English group from Folkestone in Kent, built around Graham Lambkin, Darren Harris and Tim Goss. With detuned strings, kitchenware percussion, tape loops and spoken poetry, the band made sparse and unsettling records, two of which came out on the American label Siltbreeze. The Shadow Ring began as a duo of Lambkin and Harris, who released City Lights (1993) and Put the Music in Its Coffin (1994). Tim Goss joined on electronics for Wax Work Echoes (1996, Corpus Hermeticum), and Hold Onto I.D. followed on Siltbreeze.
