Thomas Morgan
Thomas Morgan is an American double bassist, raised in Hayward, California, who studied at the Manhattan School of Music and works in jazz and improvised music. He is best known for his long associations with guitarists Bill Frisell and Jakob Bro, and he has also played with Paul Motian, Steve Coleman, John Abercrombie and Masabumi Kikuchi. Morgan recorded Small Town (ECM, 2017) in duo with Bill Frisell, live at the Village Vanguard in 2016, and plays on Jakob Bro's ECM albums Gefion (2015) and Returnings (2018) and on records by Jim Black and David Binney.
