Veryan Weston
Veryan Weston is a British pianist and composer, born in Sussex in 1950. He lived in Cornwall before moving to London in 1972, where he worked as a freelance jazz pianist and developed as an improviser at the Little Theatre Club. His music moves between improvisation, jazz and composition, and over many years he has worked closely with the vocalist Phil Minton and the saxophonists Lol Coxhill and Trevor Watts. Weston studied performance art at Middlesex University and composition at Goldsmiths College. With Coxhill he wrote and played the music for Derek Jarman's film Caravaggio (1986).
