In Dub
Brought to life in 1976 on his small imprint Stars, In Dub is one of the most sought after Tappa Zukie album. Alongside Man Ah Warrior it is a mandatory purchase for any reggae lover more akin to the spacey reverberation of the studio facilities. With his deep, rumbling bass and the prodigious engineering of King Tubby (the album was cut at his own studio) the record still maintains his adventurous tenure. This crucial re-issue present the complete original tracklist with the addictions of two e…

In 1974 she landed in Rome where she soon earned a small, but dedicated following.…
Un Hilo De Luz
Unknown spiritual jazz gem recorded in Argentina in the 80s, under the influence of Pharoah Sanders, Don Cherry, Archie Shepp, and originally released on Litto Nebbia's label Melopea. Already supported by Gilles Peterson on his radio show, this mind-blowing album combines ethno-free jazz passages and deep progressive compositions led by saxophonist Marcelo Peralta resulting a very impressive ode to the legacy of Coltrane. First time reissue. Includes extensive notes and many previously unpublish…
CD
Sami Salo was the third member of Panasonic trio when they started in 1994. By the end of 1994 Sami decided to leave the band. Sami has extremely minimal approach on the music. The compositions consist of hardly audible errors of various electronic devices. All of tracks on this CD are from the recordings Sami did in the early and mid 90s. The cover of the CD is from the tape VOLTTI.
Electronic Works
This vinyl release is a 2x12-inch with printed sleeve and inner sleeves. Also there is a a CD insert of all the tracks. Osmo Lindeman is one of the main developers of electronic music in Finland. He was active in Europe, USA and Finland from 50s to end of 70s. In the beginning Osmo Lindeman studied and worked as a modern classical composer. During the 1960s he shifted making electronic music only at his home studio. Lindeman is a Finnish hybrid of Monty Norman, Krzysztof Penderecki and Edgar Var…
Elektronische Musik
Mr. P.C. C.P.’s handling of this 1981 “Private-Press” (c/o the Internationales Musikstudio - aka the Nürnberg vinyl pressing plant) abstract-synth stunner, comprised of three pieces composed during the mid 70s & early 80s by “Elektronische Musik im Unterricht” & “Musik aus Strom : Eine Einfuhrung in die Elektronische Musik” author & instrument designer (famously, he built the prototype of the “Synthi E” variant for EMS-Steinberg ... but a trail of custom-built analog designs like the “Doppelring…
Collections I, Electronic Music With and Without Instruments
Second title in this 199-x series - itself dedicated to working through titles that had been languishing in limbo in the Creel Pone "nominations" sector for some time while specific "Golden Circle" Cabal members feud bitterly over their possible inclusion - offering the only LP by Scott A. Wyatt, following the fantastic "in Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Experimental Music Studios" set. Released at the tail-end of the 1970s on the Academic "University Brass Recordings Series" (UBRES)…
Discurso aos Objectos #2
Two incredible, light-speed Musique Concrète pieces from the Brazilian composer & Grupo Um member Lelo Nazario. The first, “Discurso Aos Objectos #2” managing to shove in pretty much the entire universe of sound (loud, destruction-oriented sections of recorded action - spoken / shouted proclamations in “7 linguagens diferentes” - little blasts of instrumental & site-specific sonorities - short. automated “pure” electronic & synthesizer blurst - into a relatively short 8 minutes. Then, the second…
Datura, The Last Ten Minutes
The two moldy, water-logged LPs being reproduced here - the particular copies in question were steeped in Italian bog-water for decades, then recently proffered to the Mr. P.C. C.P. brain-trust - cover the self-released early-80s Electronic Free Jazz / Improv diversions of one Robert Aaron - the New York "Jazz Musician" / James Chance sideman who was recently arrested in connection to Philip Seymour Hoffman's death. That aside, let's focus on the music: both LPs - issued via Aaron's Private Arti…
Cordes-Ci, Cordes-Ça, La Discordatura
1972 split release on Pathé Marconi EMI by the GMEB - Groupe de musique expérimentale de Bourges - founders & wife-and-husband team of Françoise Barrière & Christian Clozier. This is the first issue of Barrière's work & only the second of Clozier's after the Perspectives Musicales "Lettre À Une Demoiselle / Dichotomie / Petite Suite / D'Une Multitude En Fête" split w/ Jacques Lejeune (Creel Pone #073). Barrière's three-part "Cordes-Ci, Cordes-Ça" coats the A-side, electronically warping her Harp…
Computer Music, Musica Elettronica+
Handy collection of all of Composer James Dashow's early Computer Music issued in the vinyl era, including his 1982 Edipan "Computer Music / Musica Elettronica" LP, plus his track from the "Computer Directions" collection on CRI & the piece "La Pianta Di Livio" tucked onto the end of the soundtrack to the film "Oedipus Orca" released on Cinevox. Dashow started out in the Chicagoland area, studying with J. K. Randall amongst others before heading to Italy on a Fulbright in the late 60s where he s…
Who Says Birds Don't Do Things Just For Fun?
Wow, just wow. One of the dynamics at play in the C.P. program that has been all but absent in the recent catalogue is the "one man against the world" spec. These politically-charged times make me hesitant to use the catch-all "outsider", although, in the case of upstate-New York Composer Glenn Williams, it's clear that a palpable distance from the greater world was, indeed, in effect. Let's first focus on the music; the A-side's side-length title piece works a long-form take of the exact sort o…
Dimensione Sogno
Despite being something of a self-professed “Enthusiast” of exactly this kind of thing - privately-released LPs of minimal, experimental electronic music from the 1970s - I had literally never heard head nor hide of the storied Italian actor - he was in Roger Vadim’s wonderful Barbarella, Tinto Brass’ Attraction, and Vittorio de Sica’s Sunflower, something of a holy trifecta right there -  Umberto di Grazia’s lone musical outing, featuring a series of minimal, experimental electronic etudes real…
Electronique Et Stereophonie, Musique Spatiale
Amazing Early Electronic / Experimental Instrument / Tape-Manipulation work from these two Composer / Performers, with Sala perhaps the better known of the two due to his innumerable contributions to film-sound design - he did all of the bird-sounds in Hitchcock’s “The Birds” via the “Trautonium,” Dr. Friedrich Trautwein’s 1929 electronic instrument and Sala’s “axe” - Sala == Trautonium / Clara Rockmore == Theremin. Several facets of the Trautonium’s design lend to an otherworldly timbral palle…
Musical Electro-Alchemy
The only solo outing by "Works of Electronic Music" alumnus Iván Patatich, a collection of six late-70s Electronic works realized at the Institute of Sonology in Utrecht & "H'EAR" - the Electronic Music Studio of the Hungarian Radio, including "Antiphons (Antifonák)" (1977), "Calling sounds (Hivó jelek)" (1977), "Ballade" (1976), "Ludus syntheticus" (1977), "Chinese temple with echo (Kínai templom visszhanggal)" (1979), & "Hommage à l'électronique" (1978). Much like the László Dubrovay "Live Ele…
Turn On Arabic American Radio
Gatefold sleeve, edition of 1000 copies , incl. download The relationship between Bryn Jones's music as Muslimgauze and the track/album titles he would provide (sometimes right on the tapes he would send in for release, but often determined later, sometimes even giving two different pieces months apart the same title, accidentally or not) has always been a little mysterious. Jones himself can no longer be asked, and as you continue to investigate the swathes of material he provided, you hit sou…
Kashmiri Queens
»Kashmiri Queens« – previously released as a limited CD – presents a more accessible side of Muslimgauze, featuring a faster tempo and fewer sonic overtones than his previous endeavors. The music's core is rooted in drone and raga samples complemented by a rich array of ethnic percussions. This 12inch stands out for its authenticity, allowing the sounds of tablas, sitars, and various ethnic wind instruments to flourish openly without being interrupted. There's a notable departure from the usual …

Story Of Wind Behind Left
** Black Vinyl edition **  Recorded in September 1975 at Columbia Studio, “Story Of Wind Behind Left” is a symphonic poem in the shape of a suite. On the album, Masahiko Togashi uses music to communicate the same feelings evoked by nature. The drummer demonstrates unique composition and performance skills in the way he imitates the sounds of nature or takes inspiration from nature itself to make music. With “Story Of Wind Behind Left” Masahiko Togashi revolutionized the Japanese free jazz scene,…
