CD edition of 2012's double LP. Tape loops, percussion, synthesizer, junk, voice, and tape FX "Modern Jester" is quite possibly the culmination of everything we've heard from Dilloway that's come before it. A hyper-focused monolithic double LP that distills all past phases of inspiration into a harrowing, but strangely beautiful journey.†Fred Thomas, All Music Guide "From short bursts to long-form, hallucinatory epics, it's a sprawling collection that highlights every facet of Dillo…
In the early 80s Paolo Bandera was a founder (along with Eraldo Bernocchi) of the monumental collective post-industrial Sigillum S. In 1993 he created his solo project SSHE Retina Stimulants ("Super Sound High Energy" Retina Stimulants), devoting himself to sharpen the edges of concepts and noise extremes. Krionika Soshiki is one of his most representative works of the first period of solo activities. The six tracks run through subliminal arenas, with flows and ideas collapsed to state of …
Moreno Daldosso breaks into 1993 with his project Murder Corporation and released his first tape on his new label Murder Release. Tape after tape Murder Corporation has gained a prominent position as electronic serial slaughterer, claiming frontal attacks and sonic walls relentlessly, sampling overload and brutal distortion. Butcher Meat is reflected in an overdose of frequency, blood, screams and distorted voice beyond the human. Death, massacres and violence are tightened up until the total sa…
Gabriele Giuliani has distinguished himself in the 90s for multiple activities in different territories. As Drif, runs through electronic environments, as Discordance instead are more ominously violent sides to emerge, while as Dead Body Love the sharp points of the ultra sound reached dizzying heights. Audiocide ‘95 is one of his first tape released on Slaughter Productions with his main moniker. Two tracks of hellish distortion and saturation, stripped of any frills and reduced to the p…
Homicidal Texture was released by Slaughter Productions in early 1995 in a bizarre packaging consists of a metal mesh that completely envelops the cover. The four tracks on the tape are based on obsessive synth drones. The smell of death is soaked in every sound produced by the brilliant and twisted mind of Marco Corbelli. Anxiety, alienation and hypochondria turn into a deep paranoia in pain. Without hesitation, the bodies are emptied, leaving the field to an electronics purulence of rare power…
Both of these projects hardly need an introduction. Merzbow is since the late 70s the project of Masami Akita working in the field of noise music, having released a few hundred CDs/LPs/cassettes by now.In 1987 Kapotte Muziek was then the solo project of Frans de Waard, after Christian Nijs left the group early '87. De Waard concentrated on working with other musicians, and started trading tapes with a few musicians he was already in contact with, and one of them was Merzbow. The first release w…

N. is loyal to the most obscure and malevolence side of Power Electronics sounds and concepts. Closed in a total nothingness and nihilism, N. creates minimal violent sound texture to express his exasperated no-sense of existence. N. is the genial work of an autistic mind, closed to the rest of living beings… His first tape (self-titled) debut on the legendary Slaughter Productions in 1997. Tracks remastered from the original tape and the record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black l…
The main manifesto of Atrax Morgue is the analysis of the death, his perfection and complete habituation: injections of death to continue to live. In the second tape of Atrax Morgue, Black Slaughter, is deepened the speculative aspect of the project. From the original insert: ”The concept is to create sounds associated with a diseased brain, a murderess, a person who has abnormal behavior towards society.” The side A of the tape opens with the voice of Ted Bundy who speaks to his psychiatrist. T…
Atrax Morgue is the brainchild of Marco Corbelli as sound project focused in various areas related to the field of psychopathology: murder, violent death, sadism, necrophilia, schizophrenia and insanity. The main influences come from projects as Whitehouse and BDN, pioneers of a minimal, evil and visceral electronic; and from the project the Sodality led by Andrea Cernotto. ‘'In search of death'' is the first tape coming out for the fledgling label Slaughter Productions (the label created by Mar…
"Armed with an arsenal of thrift store pedals and noisemakers splayed across his lap, Dan Friel has spent the last decade home-brewing electronic music that is equal parts ragged, punk, psychedelic, and glorious, with primitive video game beats peeking through the curtains of Boredoms style electric noise. Total Folklore is an urban album: the jagged, overblown electronics mimicking the grit and chaos of Brooklyn."
Originally released as a private tape in 1982. Necrosi Statica was the first ever cassette by Pierpaolo Zoppo and was recorded before the infamous Mauthausen Orchestra tapes. The early electronic experiments of Necrosi Statica show an intriguing but inevitable progression from glacial synthetic sounds to a primordial flow of noise thoughts. It comes in a stickered black sleeve with black inner and black record labels.Included is a photo, an insert and a label catalogue.
"Ergot Records inaugural release: Aaron Dilloway's Corpse on Horseback. Originally released as a cassette on Hanson Records in 2003, this marks the first time that this classic 10 year old recording of ultra crude 8-track tape junk metal loops is available on vinyl. Limited edition of 500 copies on gold wax."
The Curfew Recordings were made at a disused industrial site on the river Tyne in 1984 and feature John Smith (then publisher of Interchange magazine), Sean Dower (ex Death Magazine 52 & later of Bow Gamelan Ensemble) And John Mylotte (of the band Metgumnebone). The recordings were made inside a 10m tall and 26m wide, steel-plated cylindrical, structure, once used for bitumen storage. The instrumentation is acoustic and the recordings are unprocessed (the space however adds a remarkable reverb).…
Hot blood in the frozen wastes, tormented sleeps, no rest, no peace, always some war to be fought. Blackdeath keep fighting, living life as war. On this new album, all of the wildness and violence that Blackdeath have been renowned for have now hardened into an idiosyncratic and cracked style: manic vocals that switch between black rasp and psychotic singing, Nordic style riffs that are somehow bent into a weapon with sharper angles, and a song progression that is equal parts percussive brawl an…
LP version, with insert. "Second full length. Eight songs of big bang black metal by Dominic Fernow (Prurient, Cold Cave, Hospital) and Kris Lapke (Alberich, Northern Cross). "The duo blasts out raw and disgusting primitive black metal, with lots of balance between neck-breaking speed and lurking mid-tempo howl, with even some grind-ish elements for good measure." "i started putting this compilation together in 2004 while residing in providence. at that time the climate of noise was rather hi-fi, technological, and cold. This was the start of noise as entertainment rather than entertaining. personal communication became lost. noise becam…
