Unconscious Collections
Three fresh and engaging pieces recorded during a meeting in Basel in June 2019 of Argentine guitarist Tomás Cabado and Christoph Schiller on spinet. The first piece is an improvisation, the second a composition by Christoph Schiller, and the final piece is composed by Tomás Cabado.
Chordioid
A double CD of works for violin, piano and vibraphone. One disc is a long piece by J.P.A. Falzone, the other a long piece by Morgan Evans-Weiler. Both are beautiful, delicate chamber works for violin + piano / vibraphone / fortepiano, recorded at Wesleyan College in Connecticut.

The Fish That Became the Sun
This CD offers the first recording of Frank Denyer's extraordinary hour-long piece for large ensemble The Fish That Became the Sun (Songs of the Dispossessed), composed between 1991 and 1996. Puma Court
Puma Court is a project initiated by Australian born instrumentalist and composer Jon Heilbron, who now lives in Berlin. The CD consists of two pieces both scored for two double basses and two hardanger fiddles – violins with extra sympahetic strings, which are most frequently used in Norwegian folk music. The performers are Heilbron himself and Hakon Thelin (double basses), and Helga Myhr and Rasmus Kjorstad (hardanger fiddles).
Among the Tarnished Stars / Quatuor pour la fin du temps
The UK ensemble Apartment House performs two works: Olivier Messiaen's Quatuor pour la fin du Temps in six movements, and Linda Catlin Smith's Among the Tarnished Stars, taking a fresh modern approach to the Messiaen, drawing out its experimental character, and the sense of drama and intricate gradations of sonority in Smith's rich and mysterious work.
Point/Wave
The first piece composer Catherine Lamb has written specifically for acoustic guitar was commissioned by Chilean guitarist Christián Alvear. Extending concepts from an installation piece titled Secondary Rainbow with Bryan Eubanks, Lamb employs electronics over an infinite cycle of four "environmental chords" which overlap and resonate with one another.

Dethick
Another church, another country, and another unique collaboration. Angharad Davies combines with Japanese sound artist Rie Nakajima and the virtuoso cellist from Distractfold ensemble, Alice Purton, in a series of explorations in the small church in the Derbyshire village of Dethick. The trio improvised, then developed and refined ten short pieces across two days, producing music which is as good as improvisation gets.
