For this work, inspired by the work Vice Versa... by Eliane Radigue, he recorded two works using almost the same settings in the virtual modular software Audiomulch, except for changing one small setting. The four tracks on “Interventions in a landscape” give a voice to the coastal landscape where human intervention is evident. The intervention creates a certain strengthening of contrasts, for instance at the Leihoek between the ever moving sea and the silent firm dyke. Trübhand was summoned in February of 2016. My wife and I were living in north Germany in exile at the time as a result of untenable UK visa policy. “Divergence” explores the tension between space and sound induced by their manipulated representation: sounds alter, calibrate and form space while simultaneously the sound is formed and manipulated by the space it is placed in. The album is based on pure sound sources such as sine waves and white noise. Poetic Infomercial Experimentalism is a musical piece, consisting of two parts, that arose after Tapage (Tijs Ham) and Espoir (Roald van Dillewijn) found that no one else had ever tried to write it before.
