Hikashu

Grab the album 1978 by Hikashu - wild experimental rock meets synth-pop energy. You can listen online or download it easy. Tracks like "Puyopuyo" and "Dorodoro" hit hard with weird, catchy vibes. Sax, synths, and vocals go nuts in the best way. Released in 1996 but still sounds fresh. Japan's hidden gem, kinda. Not for everyone, but if you're into odd beats and electronic chaos, this is gold. Oh, and fun fact - they've been called "the Japanese Talking Heads"... which is kinda accurate? Whatever, just listen. You'll either love it or turn it off after 30 seconds. No in-between.

Recorded on a 4-track tape recorder before the band's official debut, 1978 is a legendary collection of early recordings that remained largely unknown until its acclaimed CD release in 1996. Now, nearly 30 years later, these pioneering recordings are finally being released on vinyl for the very first time.
