*20 copies limited edition* This record wasn’t really planned. It all started when I(minereed) brought a cassette recorder and a single microphone to capture Tim Six’s live set at motto books Paris, just because it felt like a nice thing to do. Listening back later, I realised the tape had caught something special — the room, the imperfections, and a side of Tim’s music that felt more rhythmic than usual while still deeply meditative. What began as a simple mono recording slowly turned into something else. Social Levitation Crew added drums, minereed layered bansuri, zither, voice, and a few other sounds, and the music naturally found its own direction instead of following the one we expected.
The A side became a slow, warm journey that grew out of that original performance. The B side started from another live fragment and drifted toward motorik rhythms, dub, early IDM textures, and a loose psychedelic spirit without trying to imitate any of them. None of us really make music like this on our own, but together it opened a door to somewhere unexpected. That’s probably why this record still feels so fresh to us. It carries the excitement of discovering something while making it, rather than chasing a finished idea.
