*300 copies limited edition* 'Deep Ground' is where Purl found its foundations, in the misty forests, gloomy dusks and shimmering dawns of my youth. Continuing from the debut EP 'Ground', a work completed in 2004 and released four years later, 'Deep Ground' furthers its excavation into the soil from which we all rise. 

A few chapters were unveiled between them – the sequence of release rarely correspond to the sequence of creation (especially not in my early days of sending burned CD demos across oceans). Purl's first full-length album 'Cosimo di Rondò' is composed of material from the very beginnings of the saga (before 'Ground') with its innocent, IDM-ish takes on aspects of the story of a boy who climbed a tree and never set foot on the soil again.

The second full-length album followed soon after 'Återfunnen Klarhet', an EP than leans into more agonising aural and emotional territory intertwined with the ethereal shimmer that is never absent from Purl. And then; 'A Quiet Awakening', a fully ambient emanation composed of material created years after 'Deep Ground' was already completed, patiently waiting for its season to arrive. And so it did, as Purl's third full-length album, with a sound and aura that has continued to echo across most of the now 58 (!) releases to emerge from this first musical guise of mine.
